Good morning fall, and to everyone who reads these blogs! Today, you’re going to get the inside scoop on my fall morning routine. DISCLAIMER: I am not in any way a morning person, so I tend to spend most of the day in my PJs after simply rolling out of bed. Sad, I know. But lately, especially since school started, I’ve been making my mornings more productive. So, without further ado, here is my fall morning routine.

Believe it or not, 8 am is incredibly early for me. I typically wake up to an alarm that I snooze every single morning. Shocker! If it weren’t for school, I'd be waking up at noon. After ten minutes of snoozing and another 15 minutes of catching up on social media, I am up and ready to conquer the day!

I don’t typically shower in the mornings since I like to shower right before I go to sleep. Instead, I go through a whole routine that begins with cleansing my face. I recently discovered micellar water. Micellar water is a no-rinse cleanser that many beauty gurus and dermatologists alike have been backing. Ultimately, I just love it. I pour some onto a cotton pad, rub across my face, and voila, I’m done. It is a super simple and easy morning hack instead of having to wash your face completely with a foaming cleanser and water. My favorite is the Garnier Skin Active one.

Next, I moisturize, A LOT. My skin tends to be very dry, especially during the fall chill, so I lather as much moisturizer as I can every morning. It keeps my skin feeling healthy and glowing! My go-to face moisturizer for mornings is the CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. Yes, I said PM. This lotion was actually recommended to me by my trusted dermatologist, and I asked the same question. She told me that the CeraVe AM lotion contains a harsh chemical in the sunscreen that it includes that is actually very drying, believe it or not, so to use the PM both for mornings and nights. Works like a charm!

Lastly, you can’t forget about your daily dose of UV protection. Even in the fall, the hidden UV rays can be very damaging to your skin. Get in the habit of putting sunscreen on your face every day to help prevent potential skin cancer. I use Elta MD’s UV Daily Broad-Spectrum SPF 40.

I like to work out in the mornings, especially since I believe it wakes me up best and makes me feel uber-productive, but some days, it’s just not feasible. If I don’t work out in the a.m., I like to do so in the p.m. Chloe Ting is my favorite person to watch on YouTube for workouts. She has short videos that target every muscle group and body part. Go check her out with this link!

But on the days where I don’t work out, this is the time where I get dressed! Yay, my favorite part! Fall fashion is just so cozy, I love it. I love to wear nature-inspired colors such as dark greens, oranges, browns, and dark reds during the fall. I pick either a short sleeve, long sleeve, or sweater, depending on what the Florida weather wants to deliver that morning. Next, I put together the top with a cute pair of white or blue jeans and sneakers. Fall is also perfect for accessorizing with a scarf, a cute bucket bag for all the little ones’ essential needs, and maybe even a statement hat if you’re feeling hip.

Next is breakfast time. During the fall, I really love to eat overnight oats for breakfast simply because I can customize the toppings to match the season. See my other blog post with a fall overnight oats recipe for instructions and some cool fall ideas!) The kiddos will love this recipe because it tastes like pudding, and the parents will love it even more because it’s healthy!

After breakfast, I get on with my daily tasks, whether studying, planning other blog posts, or going to class. Day conquered!

Thank you so much for stepping into my shoes for the morning and getting to know me and my fall morning routine better! I hope you enjoyed it and are implementing some of my morning essentials into your routines!
