Hey y’all! Becca is back! Phew, it’s been a busy season, hasn’t it? I’m popping back on the blog today to give you a fun DIY you can do with your woodland creatures from the 2021 winter box! I’ve shared some other DIY’s here and over on www.drivingmissmacey.com but this one is a little different. I’ve been in the mood to use some power tools. Don’t let that scare you! Usually, I’m a pretty simple DIYer (don’t worry, this is still simple) but this time around I felt like some power tools were necessary. So grab your power drill and a few other things and let’s get started! Who’s ready? ;)

Drill, Drill bits, Faux Greenery, Scissor, Wooden Animals, Bear, Fox, Squirrel

Here’s what you’ll need:

1.Your three woodland creatures from the Winter 2021 box

2.Power drill

3.Drill bit (I used a 1/8 bit)

4.Faux flowers of choice

5.Trimming scissors/wire cutters

You can probably guess where I’m going with this list of materials! We’re going to turn these adorable little wood animals into tiny flower vases!

There are so many ways you can do this DIY but I decided to simply drill some holes in the top of each piece and fill those holes with pretty leaves, greenery, and florals. Simple, right? You can drill one big hole or you can drill multiple holes depending on the look you want.

When you first start drilling it feels pretty hard to get a hole started. Make sure you take your time and go slowly. Once you have the hole started a little bit, you can press the drill down harder. I used a 1/8 drill bit for this project because it seemed like the right thickness for the florals I chose, you may need something bigger!

When the holes are drilled, it’s time to measure and cut your florals! Get them the height you want them and then start arranging! I had all these florals on hand but the colors and style are up to you! Pretty cute, don’t you think?

I could see myself using this floral display on a mantle, as a centerpiece on my table, or as part of a shelf styling! And as I’m sure you know, faux flowers are fairly inexpensive so switching up the look is easy! These would also make such a precious gift for a girlfriend or even as a housewarming gift! The possibilities are endless.
