Hi everyone, my name is Julie and I am Decocrated’s Social Media Community Specialist! Besides interacting with the community, I LOVE to write. For me, writing is a way to get my thoughts and ideas out, as well as interact with amazing people like yourself. In this blog post, let me tell you some of my favorite Summer 2021 Home Decor Trends!
After a long year of social distancing, it’s nice to change things up around our homes and add fun colors and items to really get into that summer feeling.
Now let me tell you, if you’re not a yellow person that’s fine, summer doesn’t just revolve around bright colors. Sure, it is nice to have some fun colors to change things up, but if that isn’t your cup of tea, don’t fret I’ve got tons of options for you to try.
Incorporating earthy colors like dusty blues and greens can give you the summer vibes. By bringing any nature/earth colors you are not only changing up your home to feel more like summer, but it does have a calming effect too.
The @homelyhomeschooler does just that below with her summer bookshelf.
Besides adding in some summer colors, remember we have SO many patriotic holidays all summer long. With this in mind, why not decorate a few places in your home with pops of red, white, and blue. For example, take everyone’s favorite Decocrated tier tray and add some Americana pieces to give it an extra umph. Add an American flag and the blue vase, and you’re good to go! To get more inspiration, check out our limited edition New Americana add on box food all things patriotic.
For inspiration, check out Decocrator Deborah's Patriotic corner below! She utilized her two tiered tray to showcase her New Americana add on box all summer long.
Last, but not least, don’t be afraid to DIY (Do it Yourself). Search on sites like Pinterest or our #DecoHack Community for tips on how to create a summer sign or craft.
Here is DecoHacker Michelle's Bee Wreath Hack! The DIY options this summer are endless.
In all, make this Summer about YOU! Take time to organize and brighten up your life and home this season. After all, Summer is the time to unwind and let loose, so what is stopping you?
