Well, another holiday season is behind us. It’s always hard to pack up those stunning holiday decorations, isn’t it? The twinkle lights, holiday wreaths, ornaments, greenery, garland, and ribbon…it’s all coming down. Taking down the tree is always the hardest for me. I usually leave it up well into January, but this year I was feeling the need to pack it away and be done. However, I needed to slow my roll because not all the “holiday” decor has to go! There are so many pieces I had out that I didn’t realize could live on further into winter! What I love about Decocrated’s Winter box is that everything can be carried through the entire winter season, not just during the holidays!

One of the pieces that I find most strongly represents winter, not just Christmas, are the woodland creatures! I love how neutral and simple the woodland creatures are, while also giving off such a winter vibe! This makes them pretty simple to add to any decor space.

Today I wanted to show you how I styled my woodland creatures after the holidays! I’ve moved these little guys all around my home this season, but my favorite place for them is on my mantle. Here’s a snapshot of how I had them styled over the holidays. I included black bottle brush trees, and my DIY Decocrated inspired wood bead garland to bring in the holiday spirit. I love how it turned out!

So after the holidays came to a close, I removed the bottle brush trees and the wood garland. I began to incorporate more neutral tones to match the rest of my living room decor. I replaced my wreath with my rose gold circular mirror and built decor around it. I always love to include my lamb’s ear garland, it makes the perfect backdrop for all the other pieces.

The woodland creatures pair perfectly with the Decocrated Fall 2021 Wooden Candle Holders and the wood village. I really love the earth tones of both the candle holders and the woodland creatures against the garland. It really makes these pieces pop!

Instead of decorating the entire length of the mantle, I decided to load up both ends with decor. This was a fun mixup from my Christmas decor, which took up the length of the mantle. These are very subtle changes, but I love how my new mantle setup still feels cozy abs inviting but not to Christmas-y. ;) A clean, fresh look for a new year! What do you think?

How are you using your woodland creatures? Share blow!
