One of my favorite holidays is coming up - Valentine’s Day! I’m a pink and red lover at heart, but I tend to decorate with more neutral colors throughout the year in my house. Valentine’s Day gives me an opportunity to incorporate those fun colors into my decor, so I love to decorate and celebrate this holiday!
Valentine’s Day happens during a Winter month, so it makes perfect sense to use the Winter Box from Decocrated to showcase your Valentine’s decor. This year’s Winter Box has some terrific neutral pieces that can pair with almost anything.
Here are a few ideas for Valentine’s Day decor to use:
-heart shaped pieces
-faux flowers or real flowers that you love
-cute signs
-any DIY Valentine’s Day crafts you have created
-pom poms
-vases
-garland
-trays
Any time I decorate, I always like to pick a color theme and use items that mix well together. Obviously, for my Valentine’s decor, I used red, pink, white, and wood tones.
For my front entryway table, the laser-cut tree wall art was a perfect addition that helped add some dimension to my Valentine’s Day pieces. I also used the woodland animals to add in a few more wood tones. I placed the polar bear and the squirrel facing each other in a kiss. This is an easy and cute idea to further emphasize the spirit of Valentine’s Day.
I also used a past art print from the Summer 2020 box that mixed in perfectly with my other Valentine’s Day pieces.
The Winter tray is a piece that I already know I’m going to use year-round. You can style it in so many different ways. Remember when styling a tray to use different heights to create a more visually appealing look. I used a vase, a cute sign, and a pink candle and placed the tray in my kitchen. You could also incorporate a kitchen utensil canister in place of the vase to make this tray styling extremely functional.
Don’t forget to add a little bit of Valentine’s Day to your living room. I grabbed a comfy soft red blanket and paired it with a lush white blanket and the pillow covers from the Winter Box. I used the white and black plaid side to stick with my red and white color theme.
I absolutely love that the pieces from the Winter Box can be used in so many different ways and over several holidays. It is always fun for me to see how many ways I can incorporate each item into a new decor statement. Get creative with your own pieces and don’t allow yourself to think that a certain item can only be used one time a year. Happy Valentine’s Day decorating!
