SPRING!! You guys I love decorating for Spring! Spring decor is my favorite. So many bright & cheerful colors, beautiful florals, and a feeling of starting everything fresh and new! If you’ve read any of my previous blog posts you know I love a good mantel update, so today I thought I’d show you how I took some of the amazing spring pieces and updated my mantel for springtime. The items in the Spring box are perrrrrrfect for a spring mantel, let me show you!
In true Spring fashion, I decided to take everything completely off my mantel and start fresh. Once I had a completely blank canvas, I laid everything out from the Spring box, as well as a few other pieces I knew I wanted to use, and dove right in!
The birdcage and circular tray were a huge surprise while decorating this spring mantel. I was sure it wouldn’t fit on my narrow ledge but it did! I layered the small ceramic bird with a few pieces from the winter village from the Winter 2020 box, draped the beads, and added a bold pop of color with my favorite pink vase! Adding in colorful vases is lovely and you can even take it a step further by placing fresh flowers in your vases! Spring flowers are gorgeous and a fun way to bring spring into your home decor! I love decorating with shades of pink and blue for spring so I was thrilled with the beads and ceramic birds! They make the perfect addition to my decor!
For the other side of the mantel, I started with the spring vase and one of my favorite floral bunches! I knew I wanted to decorate with the second ceramic bird on this side to tie in the full look. The final touch was the clip frame featuring the new spring artwork! Can I just say, I love the clip frame. Time and time again I find myself using it for various things. I even displayed a coaster with it once! This year's spring art print is such a lovely touch to add to your spring mantel.
As you can see, I anchored the whole mantel landscape with a rose gold circular mirror. I love how the rose gold plays off the pastel pallet! The key to any mantel decor is to create a focal point and build on either side of it.
What do you think? What colors do you focus on when Spring rolls around? This is probably my most colorful decor season personally. I usually keep things very neutral but there’s something about Spring that really brings out the joy of using color!! Hopefully, this gave you some inspiration for your spring decorating and spring mantels!
I hope you enjoyed this post, I know I enjoyed creating it! Happy Spring!
