Hey y’all! It’s Becca here from www.drivingmissmacey.com  (www.Instagram.com/drivingmissmacey)! I’m a millennial who grew up on Lunchables, so I love a charcuterie board! When I saw the Summer 2023 Lazy Suzan, I knew it would be the perfect base for my favorite lunch, dinner…or really any time, snack!

I affectionately call this charcuterie board the “whatever is in my fridge” meal…but make it pretty! Elevate your snack this way, I promise you’ll love it! It can also make the perfect snack display when you're entertaining in a pinch!

I started off with my lazy suzan + a pretty paper plate. I didn’t feel like washing my lazy suzan, so this is a great way to avoid that.

Any good charcuterie board has these items:

  1. A delicious cheese
  2. A salty cracker
  3. Something a little sweet
  4. Something a little spicy
  5. A good nut

Here, you can see all those things.

I started with my favorite sharp cheddar cheese, the best almond crackers (simple mills, try them if you haven’t - so good), then I added a dried apricot and some sliced apples for sweetness and my all-time favorite must-have for a charcuterie board…Trader Joe’s sweet and spicy jalapeños. These perfectly top any cheese and cracker combo, trust me! Then, for health's sake, I added some almonds. I personally prefer a truffled almond but I didn’t have those on me today.

One thing that is super helpful when building a cute charcuterie plate is to use fun bowls and cups to make the format more interesting. I like to use some tiny metal cups for nuts and jalapeños, and my apples are sitting in a little glass waffle-cone bowl. These elements add visual interest and help bring the whole thing together.

My husband and I shared this little snack plate for lunch today and I do have to say, it was pretty good! Use these simple tips for a cute snack look for when your friends pop by or for a fun date night!
