Hey, y’all! It’s Becca again (of www.drivingmissmacey.com) here to share another ridiculously easy DIY! If you know me or have read any of my blog posts here, you know I’m also about simple DIY projects. Today’s do-it-yourself involves the best kind of materials list and takes less than 15 min to complete!! Too good to be true you say?? Let’s jump in and you can be the judge!
Here’s what you’ll need:
2. Flowers of choice
3. Hot Glue Gun
Yup, that’s it.
I absolutely love the simplicity of the spring vase, however, I already had something similar so I was looking for a simple way to update it to give it a little more interest. There are so many things you can do: paint/spray paint it a fun color, change out the ribbon, the possibilities are really endless. I knew I wanted to add some texture to it. As I was looking around my craft supplies I thought, “why not use hot glue!”
Hot glue is such a full-proof way to DIY because in this case (adhering to the glass vase) I could pull it off and start over anytime if I wasn’t liking the look!
Looking at the vase, I decided simple downward lines of hot glue was the way I was going to go. You could do anything you want here: dots, zig-zags, even words! I chose straight lines because it seemed the easiest. ;) I simply started at the mouth of the vase (under the twine) and made straight (as I could) lines down to the bottom of the vase, repeat until you’ve gone all the way around! SO SIMPLE!
Stepping back to take in my new vase, I LOVED the new texture. Let the hot glue dry completely and it's ready! I plopped my favorite faux flours in and - boom - DIY DONE!
I know this is super simple but I believe in the power of simple impact! I really think this came together nicely and will fit perfectly in my house decor. Plus, you can adopt this idea in so many different ways!
We’d love to see if you try with your own glass vase! Make sure to share in the comments below!
