Hey there friends! Today I wanted to share a cute little hack I’ve been working on with the Set of 2 Wood Stars from the New Americana 2023 Add-On Box! I love the 4th of July but I knew as soon as I saw the cute little stars that I wanted to do something completely different with them! Let me share!

Here’s what you’ll need to complete this DIY:

  1. Set of 2 Wood Stars 2023 from the New Americana Add-On Box
  2. Two different paint colors (your choice)
  3. Paint brushes
  4. Hot glue
  5. Wreath you want to decorate

Start by painting your stars.

I chose a grey/green color and a plum purple color, obviously I’m going a completely different direction with the colors but have fun with this! Choose colors you love and that compliment the space you’re adding them to. I chose to add the stars to the wreath on my front door.

I could have left the stars unpainted but I wanted to choose colors for the stars that could work all year round!

Once the stars dry, lay your wreath flat and decide where your stars will look best. I tried a few different places but ultimately decided on this layout! Attach the stars with hot glue - I love attaching things like this with hot glue because it holds but it’s flexible enough that if I change my mind I can take the stars off later with little to no damage.

Hang your wreath then step back and enjoy the view! I love simple DIYs like this because they’re easy but make a big impact!

What do you think? Tag us if you try!

xoxo,
Becca
