Colder weather often means we spend more time at home. Just because the weather outside is frightful doesn’t mean that you can’t have a fun evening inside with your spouse/partner/significant other. Whether you have children or not, date nights at home can be just as fun as getting dressed up for a night out on the town.
Here are seven fun home date night ideas for a Date Night In!!!
1. Cook Dinner Together
If you have children, feed the kids first and send them off to bed. You and your partner can cook a yummy dinner together; divide up portions of the recipe so you both take an active part in cooking. While cooking be sure to laugh and talk and joke around - have fun while cooking together. When dinner is ready, sit down at the table and truly enjoy dinner and the alone time together. You can make a fancy dinner or even make your favorite dinner; whatever you want!
2. Game Night
Games are so much fun, even if there are only two people to play. Have both you and your partner pick a favorite game or more so you can spend the night laughing and getting a little competitive with each other.
Some favorite games to play with just two people are:
- Sequence,
- Five Crowns
- Phase 10
- Quixx
- Rummikub
- Uno and Dos.
3. Sip Hot Chocolate and Watch a Movie
Cuddling on the couch with your partner for a movie night can sometimes make for the best time together. Grab some hot chocolate and toppings and make a yummy drink to enjoy while watching a movie together. The tray from the Winter 2021 Box is the PERFECT item to use to hold all of your hot chocolate mugs, bowls, and accessories.
4. Have a Dessert Night
Dessert doesn’t have to be a thing that you only eat on special occasions. Make a date night out of it too! You could set up an ice cream sundae or cheesecake bar with all of the toppings or make your favorite dessert. Another fun idea is to make chocolate fondue and dip your favorite fruit into the chocolate.
5. Q&A Night
Come up with questions that you really want to know about your partner and take turns answering them. Having a night where you truly focus on what the other person is saying and take turns listening to each other can mean so much to your relationship. Get cozy on the couch with plenty of pillows and blankets. The pillow covers from the Winter 2021 Box are nice and soft for a great night spent sitting and talking on the couch.

It is so fun to dream, especially with your partner! Think up places that you must see, a dream vacation (or vacations!) you want to take, adventures you want to have, and make a list. The sky's the limit! Have fun dreaming and maybe even make a plan of how you will achieve some of the items you listed.
