Coffee is a favorite drink for many people. This is because of the many benefits coffee offers the body. Some people enjoy going out to get their coffee, while others prefer making their own at home. For the latter, the at-home coffee bar is essential. These bars are a great way to spruce up space, and most importantly, they are warm and welcoming. This article will discuss some tips you can use to create a simple but ideal coffee bar at home. Depending on the kitchen space and layout, one can pick a small space and style it to suit their needs.

1. Picking Out A Space

The first thing you need to do is pick a spot within your home to set up your coffee bar. If you don’t want to use up your kitchen counter space and you have the space for it you can turn furniture into a coffee bar. I like adding shelves, a mug rack, and wire baskets for coffee mug storage. This will ensure that there is enough space to hold everything needed for making coffee. Once you have your space picked out then comes the fun part, adding in your coffee essentials and decor!

2. Coffee Making Machine

Among the supplies needed in your home coffee bar is the coffee maker. There are different types of coffee makers available in the market. With the different ones available now, it’s easier than ever to make delicious coffee at home. A popular coffee maker is Keurig or Nespresso machines. There are also off-brands available if you don’t want to pay a lot of money. If you want to up your coffee game you can even purchase the iconic Espresso coffee machine. Which is commonly used by baristas to prepare coffee. This machine comes with all the essential tools and gadgets needed to make espresso shots to add in to your coffee. So, depending on your budget and your coffee needs, you can find the perfect coffee maker machine that will be the best for you.

3. Coffee Supplies

There are many coffee bar supplies that can help you brew delicious coffee at home. They include; coffee syrup available in many flavors that you can buy at your local grocery store. Coffee syrups add the sweetness of different flavors to the coffee. The next item I think every coffee bar must have is a milk frother. They have manual and electric frothers. These add a foamy milk texture to the top of your coffee and add a soothing taste! Mug storage also comes in handy such as a mug rack or a wire basket. If you have a Keurig, a pod holder is also great to have to hold your different flavored pods.  If you like sugar in your coffee, having a small dish with sugar in it will make it easy to add to your coffee. Depending on preference there are other supplies you can add to your bar: coffee grinder, coffee beans, coffee spices, creamers, and coffee stirrers.

I love the added style of floating shelves or trays to change decor depending on the seasons or as your home decor style changes. You can also add in fun coffee signs/decor. Adding your personal decor style to your coffee bar brings it all together. One of my favorite ways to spruce up my home is with the Decocrated home decor subscription box.
