What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Winter? For me when I think of Winter some things that come to mind are snow and cold temperatures. Which then leads me to think of cozy, soft materials. If someone were to ask me what my decor style is during the winter time, without hesitation I would say neutral, rustic tones. It takes me to a log cabin in the mountains with a fireplace roaring and snow falling outside. Sounds dreamy, right?
A lot of us frequently host during the holidays and one of the first areas your guests see when they enter your home is an entryway. My home doesn’t technically have an entryway so I like to make one with our hall tree. And I must admit it also serves as a catch-all when my kids walk in the front door. My hall tree makes a perfect little space to add some winter decor and prepare for the holidays. It sets the theme for the rest of the house. The wooden snowflake is perfect for this space. If you have hooks you’re able to hang it with the jute hanging rope. If you don’t want to hang it up you can also lean it up against a wall, a decorative pillow, or other pieces from this season's box. Decocrated always has the perfect pieces, no matter what your entryway is.
Another spot in my home that I enjoy decorating is my shelves. Shelves make it very easy to change up my decor. I love the rustic accents in my home so the wooden snowflake goes perfectly with my winter decor. What I like about the versatility of this piece is that you can use it anywhere in your home. You can put it in the living room, dining room, kitchen, or bathroom. I like to play with height when I decorate the shelves. I will alternate pieces that have different heights as well as decor that is different sizes as well. The great thing about Decocrated I’m able to use decor from previous winter boxes. Which is a big plus in my book. The snowflake decor pairs well with faux trees for that whimsical winter wonderland you can also add in other signs, bigger or smaller, which will help add some dimension to your shelves.
More times than not when you walk up to my home there is a wreath on the front door. It feels welcoming and inviting. I tend to also change out my wreaths on my door and in my home with the seasons and holidays. Wreaths don’t just have to be on a door. I use them throughout my home. Some of the more common places I use are the entryway, kitchen, and cathedral mirror arches. The wooden snowflake goes perfectly inside of my winter wreath. The light natural wood finish pairs so perfectly with a snow-covered wreath. You can also add clear fairy lights to your wreath to bring an added ambiance to your wreath.
The cute snowflake cutout sign is a must this winter season. The light wood finish goes with any decor theme you’ve chosen. I hope this blog post gave you some ideas on different places around your home where the snowflake sign would work.
