What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Winter? For me when I think of Winter some things that come to mind are snow and cold temperatures. Which then leads me to think of cozy, soft materials. If someone were to ask me what my decor style is during the winter time, without hesitation I would say neutral, rustic tones. It takes me to a log cabin in the mountains with a fireplace roaring and snow falling outside. Sounds dreamy, right?

A lot of us frequently host during the holidays and one of the first areas your guests see when they enter your home is an entryway. My home doesn’t technically have an entryway so I like to make one with our hall tree. And I must admit it also serves as a catch-all when my kids walk in the front door. My hall tree makes a perfect little space to add some winter decor and prepare for the holidays. It sets the theme for the rest of the house. The wooden snowflake is perfect for this space. Another spot in my home that I enjoy decorating is my shelves. Shelves make it very easy to change up my decor. I tend to also change out my wreaths on my door and in my home with the seasons and holidays. Wreaths don’t just have to be on a door. I use them throughout my home. Some of the more common places I use are the entryway, kitchen, and cathedral mirror arches. The wooden snowflake goes perfectly inside of my winter wreath.
