One thing that I absolutely love about a Decocrated subscription is that so many of the home décor items have multiple uses. Have you had a chance to style the tray from the winter 2021 box? If you aren’t sure where to start, I hope that this post is helpful for you! I had so much fun styling the tray in 6 different ways.
Grab your winter box, and let’s get started!
1.) Style the tray in different ways with décor for the holiday season.
The tray is absolutely perfect to use with holiday or winter décor and display in your kitchen. I used three different color palettes (white, red, and green) to give you an idea of different ways to incorporate seasonal décor in your space.
If using the tray specifically for décor, it is important to remember several things:
-stick with a color palette or colors that complement each other
-use varying heights of décor items
-less is sometimes more, don’t feel like you need to cram every decoration you have onto the tray
2.) Use the tray as a centerpiece on your table.
I did cheat and use the red holiday décor from number 1, but I loved its look on my table AND in my kitchen. I used the tray on top of the wood runner from the Spring 2021 box and was super impressed with the look of both items together.
3.) Display every day/evergreen décor.
Yes, this tray was so fun to style for the holidays, but it is perfect to use year-round in your house. I found that a plant, a wooden sign, and a candle were terrific additions to the tray to help decorate my kitchen.
4.) Keep kitchen items contained.
How pretty does the tray look with a utensil holder placed on top of it? I will likely move this tray all over my kitchen because it looks gorgeous in so many places. I used a utensil holder, a succulent, and a candle to create this perfect accessory to keep by the stove.
5.) Use it on a side table.
The tray is also a beautiful addition to a side table in your living room. I added a clock, succulent, and coasters to give my side table a nice refresh. All items on the tray for the side table are from previous boxes.
6.) Create a hot chocolate toppings charcuterie board (or other charcuterie board snack trays).
One of my family’s favorite things to do during winter is enjoying hot chocolate and watch a movie together. This tray was perfect for me to use to create a hot chocolate toppings charcuterie board. If you would like to recreate this gorgeous board, I used: white chocolate chips, peppermint baking pieces, peppermint flavored marshmallows, peppermint candies, mini marshmallows, tree shaped marshmallows, chocolate chips, caramel pieces, and peanut m&ms.
What way to use the tray was your favorite? The possibilities are pretty much endless when using a timeless piece like the tray. Happy Styling!
