The Spring 2022 Decocrated Box is one of the best yet! I literally could not contain my excitement as I pulled every item out of it; especially the table runner. I actually have a handful of table runners already, but they are all holiday-themed - Christmas, fall/Thanksgiving, and Valentine’s Day to name a few. The Spring Box table runner is neutral-toned, which makes it evergreen (at least in relation to my home decor) with tiny checks so it can be used year-round. I think it will go perfect with pastel spring tones and with my Easter tablescape!

I haven’t quite decided where its final destination will be, but here are a few styling ideas for using the table runner in your home:

1. Dining Room Table

This is the obvious one. Why wouldn’t I put the table runner on my dining room table?! I have a large, wooden farmhouse table with mismatched white chairs and a bench. The table runner matches the color of my table's surface perfectly! For my table decorations, I usually keep a large, rectangular planter in the center filled with greenery and other decorative accents. You can also style it on square tables or console tables.

2. Buffet Table

I am loving how the table runner looks on my buffet table. It lightens up the wood (my house is mostly white/painted wood so not a lot of darker furniture pieces). On top of the runner, I have placed a ceramic vase with dried flowers next to an adorable framed photo of my twin daughters. I’m not sure what to call the white wooden sphere, but that helps to balance out that side.

In the center is the table clock from the Summer 2021 Box. The right side comes together thanks to the wooden tray from the Winter 2019 Box on which I’ve placed two adorable wooden & rose gold houses with dried flowers (I got these at a pop-up shop near my hometown). I also hung the art print from the Spring 2020 Box on the wooden frame from the Spring 2021 Box.

3. Breakfast Nook/Kitchen Table

Usually, this table is covered with a plastic tablecloth so my kids don’t completely destroy it. However; every now and then (like when I’m having company over or on a cleaning spree) I like to give it a good wipe down and make it look presentable. And the table runner helps me do just that!

Styling a table runner on a round table can be tricky. Here, I’ve added a centerpiece created using the metal lantern from the Spring 2020 Box. I placed a tall cream candle inside of it and wrapped the colored wooden beads from the Fall 2021 Box. I love how it turned out but my kids were a bit confused as to what was going on and why the table was no longer covered in markers and coloring books.

I think my favorite setup is the buffet, but only time will tell! I look forward to switching it up as the season's change and the holidays come and go. Follow me on the accounts below to see what I’m styling next!
