I love decorating small spaces! Whether it be a coffee table, console table, small shelf, bathroom vanity, or (like we will discuss today) a side table - small spaces can make a BIG impact if you style them right!  I recently purchased the cuuuutest little side table from Home Goods and had some styling ideas I wanted to share with you. Come along on this style journey with me and let me know which you like the best…I honestly can’t decide!

My side table is a super unique piece of furniture, one of the things I love most about it! It’s legs are dipped in white, the shape is long and narrow - such a fun piece! I purchased this little guy to go next to our favorite lounge chair in our family room. I want this side table to be functional while also serving some style! I envision this with a place for a drink as well as a place for some decor! Let me show you…

Style 1

Side table, wooden tables, wood furniture, end table, white details, living room, white plant, white art print

First, I pulled out my favorite custom coaster (from @drinkonmedesigns). On this beautiful coaster is an outline of my grandmother's house, so special! I love how the white pops off the wood! With this in mind, I grabbed the new summer plant from the Decocrated Summer 2022 Box (which is also white). Adding it to the scape immediately made me happy - just look how the white contrasts so nicely with the wood. You can also add white flowers to a vase! Obsessed! I’m going to keep this styling simple with these two items to start. I love it!

Style 2

Blue wooden beads, side, table, console table, console table ideas, black clock, decorative book

Next up, let’s add one of my favorite Decocrated pieces of all TIME (see what I did there!) and see if we can’t make something cute! The Decocrated clock is perfection here, I added a few little decorative books just to add some depth. I love the way this looks also! Depending on where your side table is, a clock might not be the right thing, but for our space, it’s a great location! Add some wood beads for some additional visual interest.

Style 3

Natural elements, wood coaster, candle, plant

Finally, we can’t do a side table styling without a delicious-smelling candle! That’s a necessity in my book! I complimented the colors of the candle by pulling in the Decocrated small summer plant and my favorite pink throw blanket in the background. I added a favorite wood coaster to finish off the look. I love how this one turned out!

Which styling is your favorite? I love styling small spaces because although minimal, they can make a huge impact in your space! These stylings were beautiful but also functional; a place to put your drink, a place to check the time, etc.

Thanks for coming along on this little style-session!

xoxo,

Becca
